蜉蝣 (kagerou) was a Japanese rock band which was first formed in September 1999 by 大佑 and then-bassist MASAYA. ユアナ joined as the guitarist a month or so later, and the band performed their first live together at CYBER on February 13, 2000. On April 4, their first Maxi Single, titled Biological slicer, was released, and in the following May, 静海 joined the band.
With this lineup, 蜉蝣 performed at many lives around the country. However, shortly after the band played at Meguro Live Station on October 11, MASAYA left the band, thus causing 蜉蝣 to go on a temporary hiatus. The group became active again after 喰耶 joined as the replacement bassist on January 1, 2001. 喰耶 didn’t remain as bassist for very long, and left the band on August 25. Luckily, Kazu filled the bassist position almost immediately, and has been with the band ever since.
The lineup consisted of:
◆Voice 大佑 (Daisuke)
◆Guitar ユアナ (Yuana)
◆Bass kazu
◆Drums 静海 (Shizûmi)
Ex members:
◆Bass MASAYA - Left in 2000 and joined Kar’MariA. Stopped music business a short time after that.
◆Bass KUYA - Joined in January 2001, but left during August of that same year, joining guiche.
Alas, in September 2006 the band announced that they will officially disband in January 2007.
