Desaster is a blackened thrash metal band from Koblenz, Germany. Important musical influences include Venom, Hellhammer, Motörhead, Sodom, Slayer, and Destruction. The band got their name from the Destruction song "Total Desaster". They are currently signed to Metal Blade records. They have released 7 full-lengths since forming in 1988.
