"Hanging Out & Hung Up On The Line is a psychic driving song. You know that feeling late at night, or maybe very early like 4.30 in the morning? - there's a place that your mind goes where you are just totally defenceless. Your deepest secret fears come bubbling up from your unconscious and you think, "Oh my God, I haven't done so-and-so yet", or "What if I don't cut it at such-and-such?" At this point, your mind goes on an inglorious roadtrip - racing like a maniac through every video speedway game you never wanted to try out." - Julian Cope
