I think Pink Moon is his best because I think it's the most accessible. It took me a long time to get used to the additional instrumentation put on the first two albums but I grew to like them all. Pink Moon is entirely basic and I think this is exactly what Nick wanted.

I think all three albums are equally brilliant, each have their individual charm and character and fit and often shape the listeners mood. Bryter Layter has been knocked for having additional, some say out of place, instrumentation and being too upbeat but it is my personal favorate and makes the three albums stand out and stand alone. If you listen with hindsight to the 3 albums in order you feel something of the journey that was Nicks life in musical expression. Thats what i think anyway, not that it matters haha!
