Porno For Pyros is the band Perry Farrell started after Jane’s Addiction first split up. Drummer Stephen Perkins came with him from Jane’s Addiction to the new band, where they were joined by guitarist Peter DiStefano and bassist Martyn Lenoble (who was replaced by Mike Watt on Good God’s Urge). They released only two albums, 1993’s self-titled Porno For Pyros and 1996’s Good God’s Urge. The band’s sound wasn’t too dissimilar from Jane’s Addiction, showing Perry’s great influence in both projects. They split up in 1997, with Perry pursuing solo projects and even reuniting Jane’s Addiction to tour and eventually record another album.
