The name Pubside Down indicates pretty much where they get their inspiration from. In fact, most of the tunes Pubside Down are currently playing were originally performed or invented in Irish pubs. By using different grooves and combining Irish folk music with other styles such as reggae, rock, or even heavy metal the band is literally turning the traditional way of playing Irish folk upside down.

Their own songs are usually built around pieces of traditional Irish tunes. Except for the bass, Pubside Down use acoustic instruments mostly; that way, they achieve a catchy but authentic sound.

In 2008 Pubside Down recorded their third album “The Irish Do”. Their style got a new twist by adding electric guitar sounds. While keeping up the old and recognized character of their sound, they emphasized their approach to rock music on the latest recordings more than ever. The album release is due in February 2009.

Since its inception in 2002, Pubside Down has been recognized by music lovers all over the world and became an insider’s tip among Celtic rock fans.
