Push Play is made up of four guys from Long Island, New York. CJ Baran (lead singer and rhythm guitar), 18, Steve Scarola (lead guitar), 18, Nick De Turris (bass), 18, and Derek Ries (drummer), 19. Push Play first started to become famous with the help of CJ’s now ex-girlfriend Mandy Van Duyne, also known as “Mandy Jonas” for her relationship with the whole Jonas family and her actual boyfriend x girlfriend relationship with Jonas Brothers front man, Joe Jonas. The band has played in major venues like the Nokia Theater in Times Square, Irving Plaza, The Gramercy Theater, and even played with Sara Bareilles, Flyleaf, and Metro Station at the 2008 Zootopia pre-show. The band is a mix of funky, fresh beats. Pop with a rock sound that is not something you see everyday. For fans of Miley Cyrus, Jonas Brothers, Metro Station, and more! Push Play is great in my opinion...not like the Jonas Brothers at all musically, really. They're just associated with them because of all of the promotional work that Mandy has done. I think they're good, and they're even better live.
