My favorite Weezer album. There is really no bad track on Pinkerton. I really hate people who say that Weezer has gone downhill. Note to the millions, Red Album is great.

Blue and this make up Weezer for me. Everything else has been downhill. Although they have had some catchy tunes.

This album definitely takes some getting into. The first time I heard it I was indifferent and didn't see what all the fuss was about. But after about 4 listens, and really listening to the lyrics, I can see it. Officially one of my favourite albums at the moment, I can't stop listening to it...

Rivers is so obviously tortured and soul-baring here, I don't understand the expectation for him to recreate this record. He's not like Fountains of Wayne's Adam Schlesinger, writing little fictional lyrical vignettes in his songs. Rivers writes diary pages in the words and music. He's happy now. His music is poppy. I can totally see how people who liked the Weezer who made this record don't enjoy Red Album Weezer, Green Album Weezer, or especially Make Believe Weezer. But I just can't see how one could expect Rivers to get depressed enough to write another album this emotionally walloping anytime soon.
