Wyrd was originally formed under the name of Hellkult, but after the departure of Kalma in 1998 it became a soloproject of Narqath (also in Azaghal). Only the latest album (The ghost album) features JL Nokturnal on drums. Wyrd makes a folkloristic version of black metal and the lyrics are about old folklore and Nordic mythology.

@GenocideGod, I would agree in part with your statement. I have only heard Kammen, and Heathen, so I cannot fully say I fully agree. However, on that basis alone, I must say the difference in what I have heard is striking and I must prefer the older Heathen. Kammen as some have mentioned before sounds too Brave Murder Day-Katatonia style. Still good though me thinks.
