The artists teamed up and created a lot of music for the anime “Death Note”. The OST is composed by Yoshihisa Hirano and orchestrated by Hideki Taniuchi. The Death Note original soundtrack was first released in Japan on December 21, 2006 and was published by VAP.
Almost every song on the Official soundtrack is created by Yoshihisa Hirano and Hideki Taniuchi. The TV-sized songs “The WORLD” and “Alumina” (アルミナ) by Nightmare are also included on the OST. The music is used as themes for the different characters and events that appear in the anime.

epic beyond words. L's theme B, Misa Theme B and Tokusou Kira Han are the absolute shit. Kodoku's really good too and such a relaxing song. Death Note was by far one the best anime's I've ever seen. I remember when I watched the first episode and thought How whack, this show doesn't have ninjas or mechs or gory battle scenes, how can it be good? Little did I know.
