Hey DC, We've started a project at the ECM group site called "The Definitive ECM 100". Please pop over and let us know what your three favourite ECM albums of all time are. Thanks, Ron IMC

Tibbetts is such a modest, generous player. He made a point of reminding everyone that we were listening to Marc Anderson as much as himself. He's very self-efacing too. The first time I saw them, they began with TEST. Half the audience (the older crowd) got up and left before the piece was over. He came up to the mic at the end of the piece and said It's really not jazz is it? I was impressed.

I've been lucky enough to see Tibbetts / Anderson live three times. The first time was a tour for SAFE JOURNEY, the second was a tour for BIG MAP IDEA and the third was a tour with Choying Drolma. I spoke with both Steve and Marc twice. They were great guys! Steve actually sent me his first album (the one before YR and NORTHERN SONG) because I told him I couldn't find it anywhere. Nice guy...

Another album who tells you that life without Jarretts fingers would be kind of empty. Do you notice that part VII sounds awfully like Beatles Let it be?
