About Me
I'm a serious music lover who has tuned out radio and music television. It seems the artists with the least airplay are the most talented. I rebelled some years ago by creating a website/database ArtHausNYC.com (now on hiatus). But the Mission of ArtHaus NYC lives on, on myspace. I love melodically soulful and jazzy instrumentation lead by subtle, soulful vocals. I actually listen to lyrics so I am very selective about what I listen to. My musical taste ranges from most forms of Jazz, (Nu)-soul, Ol' skool R&B, Disco,House & Lounge. My favorite bands are: Incognito, Brand New Heavies, Jamiroquai, Fertile Ground,The Sunburst band and The Rebirth. My favorite singers are Phyllis Hyman, Anita Baker, Maysa Leak, Taka Boom, Marvin Gaye, and Rahsaan Patterson. My favorite Jazz legends are John Coltrane & Nina Simone.
