Grant Park (originally named Lake Park) is a large park (319 acres or 1.29 km²) in Chicago. The park’s most notable features are Buckingham Fountain and the Art Institute of Chicago. Grant Park is frequently referred to as the city’s front yard. It is bordered on the north by Randolph Street, on the south by McFetridge Drive, on the west by Michigan Avenue and its Chicago Landmark Historic Michigan Boulevard District, and on the east by Lake Michigan. Grant Park hosts many outdoor festivals including the annual Taste of Chicago, Chicago Jazz Festival, and Lollapalooza.Also the Chicago Blues Festival, which is the second largest festival of the Grant Park summer series.
