Needs to be unmerged from Sonic the Hedgehog now that SEGA uses it to tag soundtracks that he's not involved with

The Yamaha synth on the original Megadrive/Genesis is almost as legendary as the MOS/Commodore SID.

Why do you some people have to compare Nakamura and Uematsu or try to put one above the other? 2 completely different video game series which are presented in completely different ways to which call for completely different kinds of music. I love and respect both. I have a closer attachment to Uematsu's music because I love RPG's and that was my childhood. I played Sonic too, but not as much as the FF series. But come on, its such a stupid argument. Its like fighting about the water and food and which is better. Both are great, both are necessary and the conversation should end there.

Can't pick one favorite, but Star Light and Chemical Plant are surely among them.

Anyone who says Uematsu shits on Masato is clearly an FF or Square fanboy. You don't have to be involved in RPGs to make great videogame music. One little thing I find a little annoying, and it's just my opinion, is that a lot of people consider Green Hill Zone to be Masato's best work. But doesn't it seem too easy to pick first level music as your favourite? Personally, my vote goes to Star Light Zone. Anywho, you gotta love this guy. Major props to him. :)
