Kiro Akiyama (秋山黄色), born March 11, 1996 in Utsunomiya, Japan, is a singer-songwriter. Akiyama began to learn how to play the bass in middle school after being inspired by the anime, K-On!, and wrote his first song while in his first year of high school. He began to pursue a career in music in 2017, uploading his music on various platforms such as Youtube and Soundcloud while also performing live in his hometown and Tokyo.
On June 20, 2018, Akiyama released his first single, やさぐれカイドー, reaching #2 on Spotify Japan's Viral chart. Akiyama would go on to perform at SUMMER SONIC 2018, and released the singles Drown in Twinkle and とうこうのはて.
Akiyama's first mini album, Hello my shoes released on January 16, 2019. He performed at Spotify's Early Noise 2019 concert, along with artists such as OFFICIAL HIGE DANdism, SIRUP, and RIRI. Akiyama held his first two man live with FINLANDS on July 25th, and his first one man live on September 28.
Akiyama independently released his first album From DROPOUT on February 4, 2020, with モノローグ as its lead single. One month later, Akiyama signed with EPIC Records Japan, and re-released the album under the label. From DROPOUT peaked at #17 on Oricon chart and charted for 18 weeks.
On March 3, 2021, Akiyama released his second album FIZZY POP SYNDROME. The album peaked at #17 on Oricon chart.
