Still my most scrobbled song (831 scrobbles), definitely my favorite song of all time! Probably have listened to about 2,000 times in my life. Too bad there won't ever be new APC material... but have been waiting for a Tool album for too god damn long!

I remember the time I was really drunk sitting in a parked car listening to this on repeat until I cried.

IMO this song is about AA/NA program. The entirely album makes references to the program, starting by the name Thirteenth Step, both program have twelve steps as rehab method. I saw the song telling recovered addicteds (sic) that even you're clean now and forever by this time, you did a lot of crap, and how you're going to fix it. Sometimes you can't. This people are dead, literally or just don't wanna anything that comes from you, so your halo downfall. You just need to be sober and fix all the craps to get some halo, but you can't, you're not perfect.

This song is about people that play Halo all the time and ignore their family and friends who like the Grateful Dead and then when they start to get bored of the game they realise that their friends have all moved on and are now into Phish. Or it's something about cauliflower and wet sleeping bags in Rhode Island. One of the two.

This song makes me think of the Manson Family, the people they murdered, and how they find God in jail. "I'm more than just a little curious how you're planning to go about making your amends to the dead." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AbD8VSr8p9I&feature=youtube_gdata_player
