My favourite album of the year. There might have been better albums released this year but this was the one that really connected with me. Outstanding work from one of my favourte Finnish bands.

After almost six months of listening QoT I must admit, that I've been deaf asshole, judging this fantastic masterpiece of music as too poppy, too happy, uncreative and generally weak. The only average track is Grain of Sand, the rest is great, fucking great and orgasmic (first five tracks and last four, including As Mountaing Crumble and Brother and Sister are included in this group). QoT suprised me, as Tuonela did almost 20 years ago - I've sinked to it with every listening. Heads down before the Fins.

I agree 100%. When I spin this album, the ONLY track that I skip is Grain of Sand. Even the friggin' BONUS tracks are unbelievable and better than 90% of other bands' album cuts. I'm in awe of these guys and how they can't seem to stumble ... yet.

The most addictive, intoxicating, most EPIC album of Amorphis! I can't listen to anything else since its release! All the songs are 9s or 10s. But if I had to pick favorites, I'd choose "Heart of the Giant", "We Accursed" and "Amongst Stars" for their epic tones and choruses, and "Pyres on the Coast" for its ghostly ambiance.

Too fucking happy and sweet! The problem is, that everything, they've released after Pasi Koskinen left was "happy metal". Even "Far From the Sun' is better, because after listening it I don't have a feeling, like I would eat 12 donuts, next jar of honey and washed it down with maple syrup. Yuck! Nothing changed since 2005. Sorry guys, but you eat your own tail.

After listening to this several times over the last couple days, I've decided it's probably my favorite album of 2018 so far. We'll see if it holds up, though I'm pretty damn sure it will. Such an excellent album - love the oriental flare on here.

So so album. Sounds well generally, but it has just one really good song - love metal hit "The Golden Elk". Oriental elements - o ja ebu, and symphonic parts would sound better away from the band.
