Heavy Pendulum is an absolutely wonderful album. Thanks for carrying the torch, Nate.

Heavy Pendulum is Cave In’s “Oops! All Bangers” record. Anyone who thought Final Transmission was a little tame, or anyone who’s weary that they only saved their bite for the singles… rest your worries and embrace the riffs. They are mean and they are aplenty.

A lot of their releases have vanished from all streaming platforms. I've gone on to bandcamp and bought everything, it's not too pricey to be fair 👍🏻

I think influence-wise Lemonheads, and as already stated Quicksand, & Failure come to mind. Maybe some shoegaze-type alt rock bands from the 90s like Catherine Wheel or Chapterhouse are worth a listen.

The lyrics for Winter Window were stuck in my head when I woke up... "Oh, sweet nausea moving slow...Candle on the winter window". Awesome song, perfect album!

They opened the 2018 gigs with Youth Overrided. Maybe not their best but Antenna is a really good album

I think Youth Overrided is my favourite song of theirs I'm assuming they open with it as the lyrics are much more poignant now

I read an interview with Brodsky at the time, when he said that in his opinion Youth Overrided did not belong on Antenna at all. He said he didn't like this song at all and wished they had put another song on the album instead. In the end he said that this song would surely be forgotten sometime.

On Spotify there is a glitch in Stained Silver halfway through the song. Is that the song or just Spotify?

Just now seen this news. Fuck... Too much awesome and talented artists died in last times. RIP man, and thank you for your music. I wasn't a very huge Cave In fan (just listen some of their stuff sometimes), but influence of this band is priceless.
