“No Church in the Wild” is an existential renunciation of traditional, organized religious worship. Its theme is reminiscent of a famous line delivered by Cassius in Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar:
"The fault, dear Brutus
Is not in our stars
But in ourselves
That we are underlings."
This song won the award for “Best Rap/Sung Collaboration” at the 55th annual Grammys in 2013.
