"Can't Stop the Feeling!" is a song recorded by American singer-songwriter Justin Timberlake for the soundtrack to the upcoming DreamWorks Animation film Trolls.It was nominated for Best Original Song at the 2017 Academy Awards but lost to La La Lands "City of Stars."
It was released as a single on May 6, 2016. The song officially impacted contemporary hit radio on May 10, 2016. The song was written by Timberlake and Max Martin, who also produced the song along with Shellback, the song received positive reviews from critics upon its release, who described it as a disco-pop, funk track. Timberlake gave his first televised performance of "Can't Stop the Feeling!" during the interval act of the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 grand finale. The single debuted atop the U.S. Billboard Hot 100, for the chart issue dated May 28, 2016, marking Timberlake's fifth No. 1 single in the country. The song's official music video, directed by Mark Romanek, will be released on May 16, 2016.
