This was my favorite album when I was 13 and I just forgot about it. Listening again 15 years later and making a trip to memory lane.

I really cant get into this album for some reason, im not sure why, however, The Messenger is seriously one of their greatest songs and easily a top 10 or even top 5 track for me.

Remember when this came out everyone hated it. I didn't really liked it even on the first listens. Very underrated, probably their third best.

It's the soundscapes in this album that does it for me. I remember listening to Robot Boy right after a family experience with terminal illness, it was the first time I cried to a song. "Hold on, the weight of the world will give you the strength to go". So much feels. :'| The only other song that comes close for me is No Safe Harbor by SubRosa, that song is truly a ocean of of intense sorrow if you've lived through the song's lyrics.

Although I have a more personal connection with their first two albums, there is no doubt that A Thousand Suns is the peak of LP's artistic expression. I love the directions they took here

The first two albums are masterpieces of mixing hip-hop with hard-edged rock with pop sensibilities. ATS is a masterpiece of art rock, hip-hop, and electronica with some pop sensibilities sprinkled in the mix. All three are incredible outputs, but this one always wins out for me every time for the amazing run of Burning in the Skies to Blackout.

Peak LP, and totally misunderstood! The old Nü Metal fans and other haters didn't understand because they went for some more artsy direction here!

THIS is LP's best album, after their first two albums, of course. They finally experimented and made something truly great. Definitely their most creative, deep, cathartic and beautiful album. Truly a catalyst for their sound, shame they did not experiment more in this direction and went the pop route.

Linkin Park was one of my favorite bands growing up. While I never disliked this album per se when I was younger, I definitely preferred the Hybrid Theory/Meteora days like a lot of people at the time did. However, I always respected the band because they continually pushed their sound forward and never remained stagnant for too long. As I grew older and I explored new genres of music, I really found that A Thousand Suns is easily their most creative, interesting sounding, and cohesive album. A bar that has always stuck out to me ever since is one from When They Come From Me: "'Cause once you got a theory of how the thing works / Everybody wants the next thing to be just like the first." From this, even if there's some LP records I like more than others, I can always praise these guys for doing what they want to do and keep exploring new sounds.

As a kid, I couldn't fully appreciate this album because I didn't fully understand it. Now, listening as an adult, I continue to be blown away by the creativity and maturity of its production, songwriting, and just the overall musicality. A Thousand Suns is Linkin Park's second hybrid theory, masterfully mixing synth tones, crisp electro beats, industrial noise, rock textures, diverse vocals and, most importantly, beautiful melody into a brilliant gem. There are obvious influences from various genres, and yet it's utterly original. To me it's LP's best album, and one of my favorite albums, period.

Yeah, good shit, I always liked it a lot. Now that some time has passed, I feel like their underappreciated albums aged much better than Meteora and Hybrid Theory.

It was a big let down back when it was released for a fan so much into Hybrid Theory and Meteora. But as the years have passed, it has become one of my favorite records of them!

This album is by far the best work of their career. The concept is brilliant. It sounds subtle but somehow aggressive at the same time. Immersive from beginning to end. Listening to their first albums I got the feeling that they wanted to achieve something like this from the beginning. Masterpiece.

I really can't understand the hate on this album. I mean yes, if you're expecting Nu Metal on this one you're fucked, but for fuck's sake this is a masterpiece.
