Biography
Miriams Well (formerly Miriam’s Well) is a Portland, Oregon based Rock&Soul Band.
The band was originally formed in 2006 by singer/writer Miriam German. As Miriam’s Well, she released a self titled solo 5 song CD-EP in 2006.
Guitarist/Writer/Producer, Mark Bowden joined in 2007 and Mir and Mark changed the band to a duo format with a rotating cast of backing players. The duo released a CD single - Not Coming Home, in 2007.
A significant recording project was started in 2008. The two-song sampler CD - Two, was released in 2008. A full length CD album - Indians And Clowns was released in 2010.
The band tours in and around the Northwestern US. The album Indians And Clowns was released nationally to college radio in 2010.
Collectively the pair have performed with and/or shared stages with: Taj Mahal, Shawn Colvin, Bonnie Raitt, Jackson Browne, Carlene Carter, Spencer Davis, Sonny Landreth and Curtis Salgado to name a few.
Mir and Mark describe their sound as being a look back at the rock music era of 1967-1974, updated with their modern touch. Both are from the East coast and have spent many years in the Boston, Philladelphia and New York music scenes.
