One of the lost bands from my childhood that heard many times, but due to life, I never knew who they were. On my way to go see Hirax and Voivod, my fiance, friend and I listened to Cleansing and my fiance and I both realized, holy shit we grew up with this band, but never actually knew their fucking name. Crazy. Hirax, Prong and Voivod were all perfect live. One of the best concerts I've ever been too!

Decent offering from them this year. Particularly love their cover of Working Man, it's made into their own :)

Listened to Prove You Wrong for the first time recently, it's an excellent mixture of thrash, groove and industrial. Listening to Beg to Differ again. I like Beg to Differ slightly more. I'll check out Cleansing, Rude Awakening and Scorpio Rising at some point.

I finally got around to listening to 'em! I started off with Beg to Differ. I read it one of the best thrash metal bands. It's a good one. I wouldn't consider it one of the best. Ah well, what does Loudwire know?

Oh and I meant to write down "I read it was one of the best thrash metal albums" in my original post. I'll agree to disagree with you on the album not being thrash. Unusual that Loudwire included it in their top list of thrash albums. It was number 38 on the list. I'll say it again, what does Loudwire know?

New album is pretty great! Not what I was expecting, so I'm glad to be proven wrong [not a pun either, haha]

1 and only album with Troy Gregory (prior to that was in Flotsam & Jetsam after taking over for Jason Newsted) after Prong he'd go on to play with Swans... play in at least half a dozen other bands & also release music as a solo artist.

I think I like this one more than "Ruining Lives" and possibly more than "Carved into Stone"... Tommy's still making some good stuff with this band...

Remove, Separate Self is getting (close to) as many plays as Snap Your Fingers? Pleasantly surprising...

With Carved into Stone and this new one... Ruining Lives. Prong just sounds like really good... modern metal basically. It's like they had their career in the early-mid 90s & now the present one in the 2010s... pretty bizarre yet awesome at the same time!

@vividserenity Give it a rest! The only commonalities between Prong and Pantera were their use of solid-state amps & Terry Date produced both bands... vocal not alike really at all... nobody in the world has ever played guitar like Dimebag & drum-wise Prong (up until recently) kept it much more straight-forward as far as the beats and tempos.
