When I was a kid I would go into this café / bookshop, and they had a stand of records -- "This Beautiful Mess" was always prominently displayed. And this was MANY years after the record had come out. Someone who worked there must have been a real fan of their music, because it was on that shelf for such a long time. There's a good chance it was the first CD I ever purchased myself. It's quite a shame that their early discography doesn't get much attention. They are such an underrated band, with terrific bass playing.

I don't remember hearing Kiss Me growing up so I've gotten to approach these folks with a more objective mind, and I've got to say they are really good. Shame most only know them for two or three (good) radio hits, they have a lot of gems hiding beneath the surface!

Their first two records are more jangly 90's indie rock, whereas the third and fourth have a bit of more folksier thing going on, so I guess it depends on what you like... but if you only want individual tracks, well... check my charts 😉

Divine Discontent is baked into my early childhood musical DNA because my dad played it a lot for some reason

Came here to say Leigh Nash is never talked about and it's an absolute tragedy...but at least some people know what's up!

First remember them on a Cd compilation in the early 90's. Leigh Nash was singing background vocals and had a male lead singer.

This is so stupid, when you scrobble the track from the split with the japanese band envy, it changes the band Sixpence to Sixpence None the Richer (which has nothing to do with them).
