this band with walkyier was so much more than folk metal, lyrics are brilliant.

a true original band...I still remember taking a gamble on one of their CDs around 15 years ago that I saw at a store for a few dollars (Silent Whales...), been a fan ever since!

I just bought their whole catalogue. They are quite heavy! I love the fiddle player on the thrash metal songs. They are like the Slayer of the English countryside.

Fun? Yeah, there are puns but Skyclad isn't really humorous... When All Else Fails?

Just listening to "Helium" and reading lyrics simultaneously... And I have goosebumps. Well, it is not the only song of Skyclad that makes me shiver. So much great music in the world and they mostly play utter pathetic quasimusic shit in the radio... Weird.

Piske81, as far as i know Martin with Sabbat now. They only have live performances from time to time. It'd be great if they'll record another full-length.

@jacobo123: Well, if they wanted to go in that direction, they would pretty much top it. It was a great album and a classic in a lot of metal genres including thrash metal, however, they were moving away from it in their later stuff. In my opinion, Walkyier-era Skyclad should've stopped changing after Prince Of The Poverty Line, and should have made more albums like Burnt Offering, as imo it's their most consistent. Ridley-era Skyclad is a completely different band (in live shows, they hardly ever play older stuff), but I like that aswell. Less metal, more folk, who cares, I love folk too.
