This 2013 single from Glasgow electronic artist SOPHIE brought her to the forefront of experimental pop and garnered massive critical reception. Featuring bubbly instrumentation and chirpy vocals, “Bipp” is often considered one of the best tracks of 2013.
Bipp is furthermore the only track of SOPHIE’s to receive an official remix. Following the release of her 2015 album "PRODUCT", the Scottish record label Numbers approached her about pursuing a remix album, to which SOPHIE is quoted as responding “NO remixes… unless it’s Autechre.”
"Bipp" finally received its official remix from Autechre on January 14th, 2021, two weeks before SOPHIE’s untimely death.

"SOPHIE’s career took off almost immediately after the release of “Bipp,” which matched hi-res stutter-step production with pitched-up vocals in what would become a blueprint for adventurous pop music over the next seven years."
