new album is a bit lackluster compared to older solo material. still really good, but i don't know.

Some of his songs reminds me of Elliott Smith. Which is not a bad thing, but he has his own style nevertheless

the video was put out post-antenna, i believe. either the record (ole sunday) was reissued, or he/record company thought he could capitalize on some of the antenna fame. i definitely remember it coming out after antenna though.

I heart Stephen Brodsky. A Lot. I just listened to Octave Museum and it's pretty outstanding. I downloaded New Idea Society, and can't wait for Pet Genuis, his other side project. Along with the Ken Andrews of Failure and Year of the Rabbit Fame, they are my favorite straight-up rockers who are just a tad too wierd to become international rock gods. Great stuff.

Everyone should hear Expose your Overdubs if they like this guy at ALL. Preferably laying in bed, on a rainy day. One of my favorite albums for years.

I like it a lot, too. At first I was a bit indifferent to it, but I gave it a couple weeks without listening to it, listened to it again... and loved what I heard. Voice Electric's spaciness is great, Sentimental Case's catchiness makes me want to dance, Kid Defender's weirdness floors me, Kill the Queen and Spirals in Her Eyes could've been latter day Cave In numbers. Really excellent stuff.
