It's their best album imo, the perfect mixture of the new-agey slowness of ADKoS and extraverted rock'n'roll of Lucyfire/Judas Christ. It sounds so lush and dark and warm, not to mention it has some of their best tracks on both the poppy and the weird sides (Brighter Than the Sun, Lucy, etc.)

It screams early 00s / late 90s. For some reason a lot of rock and metal albums released around that time had a similar graphic design to them, including this font.

This album is among my favourite from them. Many people are disliking it but that's not the case for me. Also I love the period when I first listened it. when I was most fascinated into the damn thing. Great moment and a great gothic metal/rock album.

I think that discount supermarket-look of the artwork was highly intentional, and a part of Edlunds self-ironic sense of humor. The same idea is present in the video for The Pain Song which was done two years later, something looking intentionally cheap and silly.

I remember back in the day when this was released as a follow up to their masterpiece ADKOS, I was so disappointed. It has some really good songs though, like Church of Tiamat.

great album, but why is the cover so shitty? it looks like a 'the best of' compilation from a discount supermarket
