Biography
Zé Ibarra is a singer, composer, multi-instrumentalist and music producer. He began his career in 2012, with Dônica, a band formed in partnership with Lucas Nunes, Tom Veloso, Deco Almeida and Miguel Guimarães. Despite their youth, the band showed musical maturity on their debut album, “Continuidade dos Parques” (2015). With complex arrangements and a unique mix of MPB and Progressive Rock, the album was well received by the public and critics, winning the 27th Brazilian Music Award in the “Best Group” category in 2016.
In 2019, Zé Ibarra was invited to join the band of his idol Milton Nascimento, participating as a singer and musician in the artist's last two tours, dedicated to the album “Clube da Esquina” (2019) and in the emblematic show “Última session de Música” (2022), which marked the end of the artist's career. When performing the opening show of Milton Nascimento's national and international tour, Zé enchanted the audience with his performance and musical timbre, presenting a repertoire that mixed songs written by himself and by great national artists. Without a doubt, these experiences added incredible musical baggage to Zé Ibarra's career.
