Indeed - I just gave it my first listen today and they definitely have good chemistry together. Neither of them seem to be trying to be the star of the show. "Who" is just damn catchy ... I've had it stuck in my head all afternoon. XD

Thanks for your friend request. I have to say your taste in music (at least when it comes to post-rock) piqued my interest, which is why I had browsed around your library for quite a while. It was a great occasion to rediscover 6LA8, as I can see it's one of your favourite bands. I find it admirable that you mentioned Rimbaud in your only journal entry. I could assume your taste in literature is just as good and perhaps resembles mine. Pretend that you received this message about a month ago. Oh, and...Merry Christmas!

I didn't have time to listen to all of Bjork's new album but sounded pretty good to me! Haha, well there's a huge sort of sub culture brought about by old/current Cardiacs members. Loads of great bands/artists like Knifeworld, Stars In Battledress, William D Drake, North Sea Radio Orchestra and so on... All living in London. Inevitably you end up going to the same "far out" gigs as all of them, and networking as musicians do. ;)

Saw the progarchive page, and your bio/review. Might need to grab a thesaurus to look up synonyms for 'thank you' without going emo :D Tell you what, give us any phrase/song title you can think of and we'll compose a song for it in our next album. It will be fun, and a small token of appreciation on our part.

thanks, thats funky. We started out as 'experimental', but then we got labelled as post rock by a few listeners, then we got criticized for not being post rock, as in post rock communities didn't want to upload us as post rock, and then got into ambient. but we were too dynamic for ambience...then drone. and now prog-electronic xD i didn't even know that existed, but it doesn't matter as long as we get people listening and liking it :)

Helios is really good stuff. Have you heard port royal? They were our reason to actually start up 6la8, they have amazing songs. Heh, there isn't any secret, it's just that there is a lot of music out there, and tunes are much better at conveying certain mixed emotions that will just make up awkwardly long, winded debates in spoken language. music is a completely different world of communication, and we haven't even touched on synthesizers or world instruments and a lot more, so it just gets better. We have a few influences here and there, like ''if words were swords" has a bit of gridlock in it, "japan/sleeping people..." has fennesz, "hey those are my bombs..." is qotsa/type o negative, "there is always a way out" comes from c418 or the minecraft theme in particular, with boards of canada's warmness. "murshid, marwa na dena" (dont get us killed murshid) has some inspirations from daft punks 'something about us' with a bit of dubstep...so much music for us to play with :D

So, on behalf of 6la8, thanks a lot! ^_^ means much to me and omer. if you want, like us on facebook, or check what we're listening at or give your own playlists at patientmusic.blogspot , and so on. Once again, thank you. so much.
