haikus/beau-ish: mamma, jeg blör. and I guess Indian Summer, Sinking Steps...Rising Eyes, In Loving Memory and Deadseraphim too. Evergreen/THE PINE-ish: Reaching Away, Mineral, The Hated, Sore Eyelids, 125 Rue Montmartre and Maggat. IDK how many of those you've heard but you can check the others out at least, heh.

hey. yea sure. what kind of stuff do you want? Geotic and Lovesick aren't really similar, haha. if you just want real downer music check out S, Carissa's Wierd or Codeine at least. :-)

I spent a lot of time thinking about that today. I couldn't come up with much. The Nation of Ulysses sporadically use a trumpet, and are one of my favorite bands, but I see that you have them in your library. There was another band that I just heard for the first time two or three days ago from Allentown, PA named The GTC that used some sort of brass instrument a lot in breaks in their music. For the most part they sound like late 90's screamo, but those sections seemed to make them more interesting than a lot of their contempraries that I've heard. Also, if you want maybe some weird instruments in a pseudo screamo band you could listen to Sinking Steps...Rising Eyes' album Majestic Blue. It has a flute, a keyboardist, a violinist as well as a bunch of clearn singing. It certainly is different, but I can't think of anything else.

Volume Eleven had a sax that they used a fair bit. I believe they shared at least one member with Honeywell. I rarely appears in any of their screamy songs, but in the more psychadellic songs it shows up frequently. Lights for Nero is a sort of emo violence-esque band that features two vocalist and a sax. When both vocalists are screaming, and the sax is playing the chaos is pretty amazing. They're main detractor is the christian message that shows up frequently. Constantine Sankathi were a 90's emo band that featured either a trombone or a trumpet. I can't remember which, but it's more brass. Lastly, The Sea, The Sea were a band that featured a male and female vocalist as well as a saxaphone. I actually haven't listened to them, but I've heard nothing but praise for their 12".

"Confusion is Sex" seems to be my favourite one (or at least one of my favourite ones). Some people call it "unlistenable", but if you like Teenage Jesus & The Jerks, you may like it too. Good start, I think. I didn't like them too much before I heard this album. And then in chronological order: Bad Moon Rising, E.V.O.L., Sister are very good too. And so on.

rock that is often played by dads who take their kids sports too seriously and are probably racist. daughtry, nickelback, seether all fit this.

i searched that. it said the closest result was Daughtry lyrics. I knew you were into dad-rock.

I didn't even see you commented me haha. I was writing some of my own music and I have it in my itunes under my name. Message on aim Unknown9000 if you want me to send it over. Also, I'll check out this band that supposedly blows Envy out of the water. That is a serious threat.
