Will have to give this stuff a listen, been needing some new music recently. I've mostly been catching up, so not much I can recommend, Mark McGuire's 'Get Lost' was pretty good though.

Hey, the first few tracks are really strong although it gets a bit boring after that. Not sure what I think of it overall. I should check out more stuff by her though including that LA Vampires collaboration. Been listening to anything tasty recently?

It sounds like we love a lot of the same things. I slightly lost interest in Emeralds/Mark McGuire this year, although the Emerlads album is good in places. I miss the epic mess of 'Damaged Kids'. I agree with you about Philip Jeck - definitely top 5. Overall, I'd say 2010 has as good a top 15, but perhaps not the sheer number of excellent releases as 2009. I don't know though actually, it's been a really good year for drone with people like Chihei Hatakeyama, Christopher Hipgrave, Fabio Orsi and Nos Phillipe all making very good records. I think I always seem to find quite a lot to love, partly because it takes me so long to get tired of ambient albums - I just seem to be able to hear new things every time I listen to them.

Ah, thanks! That Type release does sound interesting. Barn Owl also - it's a name I've noticed, but not got around too (again). I have quite a few extra things that aren't on that journal entry now - as well as the Richard Skelton, I've been digging releases from Philip Jeck, Pete Swanson, Chris Abrahams and Brian McBride.

Am assuming the Demdike trilogy from this year is going to get a compiled release at some point, hope so anyway - the reviews seem to be great for them. Just got the Daphne Oram and Thomas Koner boxsets in the post so I'm hoping to get into them this weekend. Otherwise still enjoying Returnal, and Rene Hell's Porcelain Opera is pretty good too. That Black to Comm album from last year was stunning, do you have anything else by him? Just got that on cd and a rouge "7 from last year.

Hey Trist just stumbled across this band, ksandr and I.M.M.U.R.E. and I haven't exactly had time to listen to a vast amount of them yet but it certainly sounds interesting.. All their stuff's free and downloadable.. Maybe play some on your show?

Hey Tristan! Thanks for the heads up about Rocketship, really nice stuff. Have you heard of Man Man? Kinda sounds like Animal Collective joins a circus.

Yeah, it does have some strange quirks, like since my internet is so patchy it hardly ever scrobbles my ipod listens (ie. the majority of my music listening) and only scrobbles the music that I listen to when I'm at my mac.. Oh yeah and when I'm listening to my rare vinyl only releases and original cassettes editions how does it scrobble that eh?

Hey there my newly addicted friend.. I see you've listened to 1,500+ Deerhunter tracks in the last couple of days? More like Brittany Spears with a tampered MP3 ID, we've all seen your CD collection you little keizer chief you..
