Hating this song is so lame and boring, like why is this song bad but Octopus's Garden or Yellow Submarine good? Because the band was feuding and the non-Paul members hated recording it? It's like such classic silly whimsical Beatles and it rocks

politely, i'll say that it's a good song but it's absolutely not abbey road-worthy, let alone so early into the album. feels like it should've been on MMT or simply a b-side

I love this song and I think I figured out why Lennon had such a strong dislike for it: John felt that Paul was stepping on his toes by writing a song about beating women, as that was John's gimmick.

Ahhh what to say and what to keep hidden. John described the track as "more of Paul's granny music" and as such mooned Paul while he was recording the vocals (1:21). Get that pic stuck in your head's Beatles fans. Besides that, it should be on your mix tape of fun ditties about bludgeoning people to death.

Only song on the album that's not a masterpiece. It's okay, but nothing special. Can't believe Paul wanted it to be a single... Lennon was right, haha.

I have actually grown to really like this song. Some Beatles fans need to lighten up!
